Welcome to Almar Surf & Skate!
Almar Surf & Skate is more than just a project – it’s a movement. As an Asociación Civil, we are dedicated to empowering local children and youth through surf and skate. Our mission is to foster personal growth, build community, and promote environmental awareness. Almar is a space for connection, learning, and inspiration – a wave of change that everyone can be a part of.

Surf, Skate, and Support
Almar Surf & Skate is a community-driven initiative dedicated to making surf and skateboarding accessible to all. By providing free lessons and organizing events for local children from underprivileged backgrounds, we aim to create opportunities that go beyond sports—fostering confidence, inclusion, and a deep respect for the ocean and environment. Our long-term vision includes expanding into educational programs, swim courses, first aid and lifesaving courses, and support for vulnerable groups, ensuring that our impact is both meaningful and sustainable.
The lessons we offer to tourists help sustain our mission—every paid lesson directly supports our programs for local children. This model allows us to continue providing free access to surf and skate experiences while fostering a stronger, more inclusive community.

Experience Nayarit while supporting the local community!
Almar Surf & Skate creates fun, unique experiences for visitors. The money that is generated from our experiences goes towards bettering the local community here in Nayarit.
Some things we do with that to support our mission are:
-
Offering free surf and skate lessons to kids and teens from low-income families
-
Partnering with local groups, like the school, to develop sustainable projects such as environmental sustainability awareness and best practices.
-
Running donation-based programs for equipment and training for children of low income families.
Every time you surf and skate, you inspire the dreams of kids!
Almar aspires to be more than just a popular destination for tourists; we aim to create a lasting social impact in the community of Nayarit, Mexico. By focusing on education and recreational opportunities for children from disadvantaged communities, we strive to contribute to local development in a meaningful way. Investing our income in materials and the construction of Almar reflects our long-term commitment to social responsibility and education. We warmly invite you to be part of this journey and join us in making a difference.

We also welcome volunteers with open arms. Whether you're a surf instructor, a passionate skateboarder, or run a surf school and want to collaborate – we'd love to connect and create impact together.
And yes – by simply booking a class or service with us, you’re already supporting our cause!

Client Review
Almar Surf & Skate were great for a large group surfing lesson my family did. They were able to coordinate something the day prior for 8 people and got 4 instructors out so we would each get individual attention during our 1.5 hour lesson. Furthermore, they had some people on the beach to take pictures of us surfing and to keep our belongings safe while we were in the water. They were a quick 10 minute drive from our hotel (Iberostar Playa Mita) and helped us call a taxi back.
Another cool thing is that they are involved in various nonprofits that help make surfing accessible. Through supporting their business, you are also supporting their non profits.
